00  Store status

The store is not open yet. The checkout runs in the payment processor's test mode: no real card can be charged, no money moves, and no order is printed or shipped. Anything you see about price, shipping or delivery below describes how the store will work when it opens, so that it is readable before you are ever asked for a card, not after.

01  Who you buy from

Orders are sold and fulfilled by [SELLER LEGAL NAME], trading as slime.hq, [POSTAL ADDRESS]. Contact: orders@slimehq.live.

Printing and shipping are carried out by a third-party print-on-demand manufacturer on our instruction. That does not change who you are contracting with: your contract is with the seller named above, and a problem with the printing is our problem to solve with you, not yours to solve with them.

02  Placing an order

Every piece is printed to order. Nothing is held in stock. When you buy, a print file is sent to the manufacturer and that specific piece is made for you.

Payment is taken by Stripe, a third-party payment processor, on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. We never see, receive or store your full card number. You do not need an account to buy, and buying does not create one.

Your order is accepted when we send the confirmation email, not at the moment the card is authorised. If we cannot fulfil an order we will say so and refund it in full; a payment that we cannot fulfil is refunded, never quietly kept.

You can cancel any order for a full refund up to the point it enters production. Email orders@slimehq.live with your reference number. Once printing has started the piece exists and cannot be un-made, which is why section 06 says what it says.

03  Price

Prices are in US dollars. The price shown on the store page is the price charged: the store page reads its prices from the same server-side catalogue the checkout is built from, so the two cannot drift apart.

Shipping is charged separately and shown as its own line before you pay (section 04). No handling fee, service fee or other charge is added at the end.

Sales tax. Automatic tax calculation is currently switched off, so the total you are shown at checkout is the total charged, with no tax line added afterwards. If that changes, this section changes with it in the same deploy, and any tax will appear as its own line before you pay, never as a surprise on the receipt.

04  Shipping

United States only at launch. A flat $7.00 per order, shown as its own named line at checkout. We do not ship internationally yet; a flat rate that is honest domestically is not honest across a border, and we would rather not offer it than quote a number we cannot stand behind.

We ship within 15 business days of your order. That is the shipment window for a made-to-order printed item, and it is deliberately longer than the fastest possible route so that it can actually be met. You get a tracking number the day it leaves. Transit time after that is the carrier's, typically a few days within the continental US.

We ship to the address you type at checkout. Check it. A parcel sent to a wrong address that you supplied is not something we can recall, though we will always help you try.

05  If it runs late

If we cannot ship within the 15 business days stated above, we will email you before that window runs out, with a revised shipping date and the option to cancel for a full refund. You do not have to ask for that option and you do not lose it by waiting.

If you choose to cancel, the refund goes back to the card you paid with, promptly and in full, including the shipping charge.

This is the machinery the FTC's Mail Order Rule (16 CFR Part 435) requires of a seller who states a shipping time, and it is written here in plain terms because a right you cannot find is not much of a right.

06  Returns and refunds

Read this before you buy, not after. It is on this page, linked from the store page and from the checkout page itself, so that it is disclosed to you before you pay.

Damaged, defective, misprinted or the wrong item: tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you in full, your choice. Email orders@slimehq.live with your reference number and a photo. You do not pay return shipping on our mistake, and in most cases we will not ask for the item back.

It never arrived: tell us and we will chase the carrier, and if it is lost we replace it or refund you in full. There is no window on this one for as long as the tracking says it never got to you.

Change of mind on a printed-to-order item: we cannot accept it. Each piece is manufactured for one buyer after that buyer orders it, and it cannot be restocked or resold. This is the reason cancellation is free right up until production starts (section 02), and the reason each product page states the exact size and finish before you buy.

Nothing in this section takes away a right you have by law. Where a statute or regulation gives you a stronger remedy than the one written here, that stronger remedy applies.

07  Your data at checkout

Buying something means giving us details we would not otherwise ask for. Here is every one of them, who sees it and why. The site-wide Privacy Policy covers everything else on slimehq.live.

08  Governing law

These terms of sale are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Massachusetts have jurisdiction. This does not remove any consumer-protection right that the law of your own state gives you and does not allow to be waived by an agreement like this one.
